Grants, Fellowships, and Programs

Per our mission to assist people dealing with emotional and anxiety syndromes, Mariah’s Studio offers a broad range of support. On this page, you can apply for grants, learn about fellowship opportunities, and discover our local outreach programs. Please check back for additional offerings throughout the year.

Grants

Mariah’s Studio provides targeted support grants to 501(c)(3) organizations, businesses and individuals.  Generally, grants are aimed at funding specific projects or programs that help people relieve anxiety and promote healing through participation in the arts.  For example, grants may be awarded to pay for event space, studio time, the purchase of equipment, and supplies.

Grants Administration Guide

Grants available for 2024:

  • Grant Title: Grants for Teachers using Art to Help Students Dealing with Stress

    These targeted support grants are aimed at helping educators fund art equipment or supplies used in assisting students dealing with stress. Educators employed by a public or private school are eligible to receive $500-$2500 in funding between January 2024 – July 2024. A final report must be submitted on or before September 1, 2024.

    Complete an application here or email a 1-page application to info@mariahsstudio.com by January 31, 2024. Any application received after 1/31/24 may be considered if funding is available.

    Required application information includes:

    1. Name and contact information (physical address, email, phone number) of educator

    2. Organization name and address

    3. One paragraph describing program or detailing need (include estimate of students helped)

    4. Amount of funding requested (include list of intended purchases)

  • Grant Title: Grants for CLSs Helping Children Dealing with Stress

    These targeted support grants are aimed at helping individuals trained to support pediatric patients and/or special needs children and their families fund art equipment or supplies used to minimize the emotional distress and anxiety that may arise from medical procedures, hospitalization, chronic illness, or disabilities. Professional Child Life Care Specialists or Volunteers affiliated with a public or private medical organization are eligible to receive $500-$2500 in funding between February 2024 and January 2025. A final report must be submitted on or before March 1, 2025.

    Complete an application here or email a 1-page application to info@mariahsstudio.com by February 15, 2024. Any application received after 2/15/24 may be considered if funding is available.

    Required application information includes:

    1. Name and contact information (physical address, email, phone number) of Child Life Specialist

    2. Medical organization name and address

    3. One paragraph describing program or detailing need (include estimate of children and family members helped)

    4. Amount of funding requested (include list of intended purchases)

Fellowships

Mariah’s Studio offers fellowships to students and therapists to help fund the cost of education.  For example, fellowships may subsidize the cost of a higher education program, to attend a conference, or participate in other forms of professional development.

Fellowships available for 2024:

  • Fellowship for students enrolled in the University of Maine at Farmington’s Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Creative Arts program

    This fellowship is aimed at helping future Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC) fund a creative-arts focused education. Students enrolled either full or part-time in UMF’s Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Creative Arts program are eligible for up to $5000 in funding for the 2024/2025 school year.

    2. A resume or curriculum vitae (CV) that documents education, work experience, skills, accomplishments, and qualifications

    3. A one-paragraph statement of career intentions (include a list of intended purchases)

Programs

Mariah’s Studio aims to fund and manage programs that promote healing by bringing together artists and therapists to assist clients suffering from anxiety.  Programs may be wide-ranging but focus on helping a specific client group.
