Welcome to Mariah's Studio!
Mariah’s Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Gorham, Maine. Our mission is to “promote and support art therapy programs which provide a safe avenue to promote healing and relieve anxiety for people who have experienced trauma or violence in a way that inhibits their normal life experiences.”
Our Inspiration
Mariah’s Studio continues the legacy of Mariah Elizabeth Gaughan, a talented potter who shared her love of the art form by volunteering at the Columbia Art Center in South Carolina. Sadly, her time with us was cut short by ovarian cancer. All that knew Mariah were touched by her generosity, her love of life, and her vibrant spirit. Mariah’s Studio was founded by her friends and family in 2023 to bring her charitable vision to life.
We accomplish our mission through three main avenues: grants, fellowships, and programs.
